It turns out July is the hottest month around here. Now hot doesn't equal Houston, but we had a lot of 97, 98 and 99 degree days - of course it isn't that bad with less than 20% humidity and it cools down in the evenings. Side Note: One of the coolest phenomenon here is the climate is so dry that it will be "raining" but the rain will never reach the ground, it evaporates while it falls. Anyhow, we had a warm July but once August hit, things just cooled down, we've had temperatures in the 80's and today in the 70's, it cools down to the 40's at night, it's wonderful.
We are enjoying life around here - the girls all keep really busy during the days taking walks, running errands, and some regularly scheduled fun at the parks around Glenwood. Allyson has grown at least 3 inches since we moved here - all of her 2T clothes fit perfectly now (they used to be long). Lauren is our brave and independent child, we have to keep our eye on her all the time (especially at church, she has figured out how to push open the front doors of the church building, and she is always trying to get to the parking lot). Amy is doing really well, she is busy helping in our children's ministry at church and taking care of the girls. I love my job, I feel blessed to be working with a great church with an excellent group of elders and an awesome sr. minister. Anyhow, the most important part - pictures of the girls:

i love the starbuck's drink picture.
Finally a blog update. I have been waiting patiently!?!? Maybe it was Texas heat that was stunting Ally's growth? We just had another three days of summer. It was in the 90's Th, Fri, Sat. It was extremely stuffy this morning, but it is very cool this evening, cloudy and trying to rain. I think that makes about 10 total days of warm summer weather her in Western Washington.
Can't wait till September 16!! By then I will be the granjan to 6 granbabies.....
the pics of allyson and lauren remind me so much of grace and noraa.
